Brief description and main aims
The project forms part of the Programa Piloto Integral de Combate a la Pobreza Urbana – PPICPU, a governmental programme funded by the Secretaría de Finanzas (Ministry of Finances). |
Main Activities
The project focuses in providing training to the interests, skills and/or talents of at-risk children and youth on four art & culture disciplines: visual arts, dance, music and theatre, and on one technical discipline: computer science. The project also offers psycho-social counselling/assistance. |
Volunteer tasksThe volunteer can support the instructors in the different art & culture and technical workshops / lessons according to her/his skills and competences, such as:
The volunteer can also support in different educational workshops, help organise different artistic events, and spend time with the children and youth.

Volunteer requirements / Skills
The volunteer should :
Experience or studies in the artistic area is highly appreciated (art in general, performing arts, cinema, theatre, dance, visual arts, music, literature), as well as an average to superior level of knowledge in the area of computer science

LocationThe project is located in Tegucigalpa, Francisco Morazán. |
Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)The volunteer will live with a host family. |
More Information
The project is available to start in August and February every year for 6-12 months.
