Beautiful Gate Special School (IND-26)
|
Brief description and main aimsIn 2005, two friends - a special education teacher and a mother of a mentally challenged child - shared their mutual desire to establish a school for children with multiple disabilities. In January of 2007, these women partnered together to open Beautiful Gate Special School (BGSS) in Mysore, India. Our aim is to help every disabled child achieve their full potential, irrespective of caste, creed or ability to pay, while treating them with the respect and dignity every human being deserves.
Our vision is to deliver our educational services directly to the communities where special needs children live. Our method of providing these services will be by the establishment of community based learning centres throughout our city and state.
